Delaware ‘Should Have Its Day in Court’

State appeals ruling limiting its sports lottery

DOVER – Lawyers for the State of Delaware today filed a petition asking the entire Third Circuit Court of Appeals to rehear arguments in a lawsuit filed by professional sports leagues and the NCAA seeking to restrict the state’s sports lottery.

“The State of Delaware should have its day in court. We hope we get that opportunity,” Markell said. “We believe there are important legal and factual questions that should be heard by the entire Court.”
