June 18, 2008 – Gov. Minner signed House Bill 355, sponsored by Rep. Gerald Brady, which requires individual and group health insurance contracts to provide coverage for hearing aids of up to $1,000.00 per ear, every three years, for covered dependents 24 years of age or less. A sign language interpreter and a Communications Access Real Time (CART) device were provided for the hearing impaired attendees at the event.
